Illy Cafe, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Illy Cafe is basically a glass box allowing you green views of the garden, pool and bar area at Terrace behind Hock Choon. Made comfortable with long sleek benches, sofas and intimate tables for two, they've done surprisingly well with such a small space. The best bit though is that they serve Illy coffee. Coming a close runner up is that they're in cohoots with a Slice of Heaven. Combine the two and you get yourself a bargain where 10RM buys you an Illy coffee and a Slice of Heaven cupcake. Coffee and cake - is there a better morning tea, afternoon snack or dinner denouement?

***  Illy cafe has just closed for renovations and will re-open in February. As coffee is not available until the 15th, A Slice Of Heaven will be offering the following deal:

- One set of any two (2) cupcakes for only Rm10
- Valid from 28 January 2012 - 14 February 2012

  2. Slice of Heaven sell delicious cakes. Can you have something other than a cupcake with your coffee for that price? I want the cheesecake.

  5. thank goodness the cafe is in air-conditioned comfort, right? it's kinda cool (no pun intended) that customers can enjoy a green, unobstructed view here, without having to sweat it out alfresco-style! :D

  7. Its worth digging into the cake and the coffee for RM10. I like to check out ambience with garden setting with plenty of green around, gives you the nature environment.

  8. Missy: Illy Cafe is a different enterprise than Espressamente Illy - although I like that one too. This ones a little more cosy with a limited menu -but is right next to Fukuhara and 1968 so good for an after dinner coffee.
Sean: Yep, the air con means a pleasant visit 'next to' nature. I do like the green.
Rad: I think it's very reasonably priced too. Cupcake was moist with a nice frosting and hey, you can't go wrong with Illy.
Nava.K: I like the green space too.
Simple Person: Yeah the silver pearls are cute. So that's the trick huh? Coffee at night ;-)

  9. I love Illy Coffee. Tried the coffee at one branch in Rome and had breakfast all three days I was there. The coffee is excellent, the pastries more so. Yum!

  11. Hi, i would like to emphasize that although we are happy that this Cafe in Hock Choon uses a top brand as Illy, the Illy cafe concept labelling is ONLY exclusive to EXPRESSAMENTE ILLY (owned 100% by Illy), the right owner of the concept.
