Lavish Weekend French Hi-Tea at the Hilton Kuala Lumpur
The Hilton brand has always been associated with style, and now an elegant French themed high tea further validates the reputation. Set amongst the spacious and sophisticated ambience of Cosmos Lounge at the Hilton Kuala Lumpur, guests can be entertained by a live pianist and luxuriate in green vistas from the colossal floor to ceiling windows, all the while relishing delectable desserts, pastries and savouries whipped up by Hilton’s expert patissiers.
Every weekend, from September 9 onwards, a fancy spread is gracefully posed as the centerpiece of Cosmos Lounge. A fine selection of French cheeses, freshly baked loaves, and other savoury offerings such as Smoked Duck Rillete a la Crouton and Chicken Terrine in Sage Jelly allow a little substance to reach your tummy hopefully diluting some of the irresistible sweets that you must indulge in.
Live cooking stations allow you to order Crepe Sarasin or Crepe Suzette with your choice of fillings. Smoked Salmon and Crème Fraiche, Tomato Mozzarella with Pesto Sauce or Wild Sauteed Mushroom await your order. For the sweeter tooth. a variety of fruity fillings with whipped cream and a delicious caramelised orange tangerine sauce are good choices. Fun to watch (and to eat) is the making of ice cream with liquid nitrogen. While your chocolate pudding is gently steamed, the chef whisks up instant ice cream with the use of a little chemical magic.
Sugar cravings are generously satisfied with a delightful array of cookies, pastries, puddings, cakes and desserts. Classics such as Hazlenut Cream Eclairs, Mille Feuille, Praline Cream Cake and Crème Brulee Pistachio head the line up. Petit Fours, Macarons, Nougat and Biscotti continue the seemingly endless spread of hip-enlargening goodies. Of course there’s a chocolate fountain too, but with such an eye catching assemblage of other pleasures you might well skip this station altogether.
A display case of fine loose leaf teas from Ronnefeldt are at the ready with an attendant handy to guide you through the options. Signature black teas such as Earl Grey, Black Assam, Orange Pekoe and Lapsang; Green; Fruity; Herbal Infusions; and many more complete a magnificent selection.
For those desiring an afternoon of complete opulence, French Champagne, Bollinger Special Cuvee, is chilled and the ready.
The Lavish Weekend French Hi-Tea is available Saturdays and Sundays at the Hilton Kuala Lumpur from 2:30 – 5:30pm. The smorgasbord of food and bottomless Ronnefeldt tea is priced at RM109++ per person. Coffee and champagne are charged as extras.
