Smile Asia Week - Indulge in a Decadent Dessert for a Good Cause

Ritz Carlton Kuala Lumpur
Ritz-Carlton's Delicious Chocolate Mousse Cake - buying one (or more!) raises funds for surgery for children born with a cleft lip or palate.

Smile Asia Week

The Ritz-Carlton, Kuala Lumpur, is celebrating this Mother’s Day by giving back and spreading smiles. As part of the group’s ‘Smile Asia Week’, the Hotel will be selling specially designed gift cakes in support of Operation Smile – an international charity that provides smile-giving surgery for children with cleft lips and palates. All proceeds will be sent to Operation Smile.

I purchased a cake to support the cause this week and shared it with my colleagues. It turned out to be a rich, intense mousse cake with a decadent dark chocolate topping and a light crunch in the base. The rapid disappearance, up to the very last crumb, minutes after presenting it, is testament to the deliciousness of the dessert.

To purchase your cake and help put a smile on the face of a child with a cleft lip or palate, please visit or visit the Carlton Gourmet on Level 1 of The Carlton Conference Centre.

For every RM950 raised, one smile-restoring surgery will be donated. Each cake weighs 500gms and is priced at RM55 net.

  1. Too bad I'm all the way here, otherwise I would surely get my cakes from there. Maybe I can drop by the website and see...

  2. Indeed a good deed, bravo!
The small print reads "ideally consumed within four hours from collection"! He he...
Share it, don't hog it. ;)
    And thanks for sharing x

  3. This is indeed a great initiative.
