A Breakfast Worth Traveling For
Homage, Spicers Hidden Vale

Breakfast is included at Homge restaurant in most packages at Spicers Hidden Vale retreat, but we think it’s worth stopping for, while on a day’s meander through the countryside for outside guests too. As I’ve already blabbed on about how wonderful Homage is in the past two day’s posts, today I leave you with a photo memory of our morning scrumptiousness.

Homage Restaurant
To immediately quell hunger pangs a station with home made jams, house produced honey, and bread for toasting, sits alongside fresh juice and water.

A breakfast platter:  warm croissants, Bircher muesli and fresh seasonal fruits are served on a wooden board while mains are prepared a la minute.

The menu changes regularly, reliant on what the chefs find to be the best local produce available at the time. Staying over two nights, we get to try all of the options:

Poached free-range egg, salt roasted vine tomatoes, local bacon, whipped feta, beetroot relish and dukkah.

A hot beverage is included in the set - either Peaberrys Organic Coffee or a selection of Tea Drop black and herbal teas. Fresh milk is locally sourced from the scenic rim from 4Real milk, a family owned business delivering farm gate freshness.

All is delicious. We’d happily order every single dish again. Brekkie at Homage – yum!

Reasons to visit: exceptional local produce, stunning views, simple but well-executed brekkie menu, good coffee.
